The highest mountain in Bolivia, Sajama stands apart from the rest of the range slap bang in the middle of the altiplano. It is a dormant volcano with a perfectly conical shape. A beautiful climb

Itinerary:

Day 01: Depart from La Paz for the village of Sajama (about 5 hours from La Paz). We then continue to Wincurata where we will begin our 3 hour trek to base camp (4,800m)

Day 02: Trek from base camp to the high camp, at 5,700m. This trek takes around 5-6 hours.

Day 03: Early depart from the high camp towards the summit (6,542m). Our return takes us back to the high camp and then onto base camp, where we sleep.

Day 04: Trek from base camp to Wincurata where we will have the chance to enjoy the gorgeous thermal baths, before returning to La Paz.
